BusyWeb Catalog Applications - Resizing images for upload.

In Your Catalog Administration "Add" or "Update" product page, there is a maximum file size of 300kb for image upload.
This file size is easy to correct by resizing the dimensions and saving as a *jpg file.

If you are new to image manipulation, the following may assist.

The main principles are the same for all image editing programs.
If a file size is too large to upload through Your Catalog Administration panel, change the image dimensions (width and height) to a width of about 300 to 500 pixels.
Save it as a *.jpg.
If the file size is still too large, compress the file when saving.

Using Windows - Paint.

Paint is pre-installed in Windows and is found in Start > All Programs > Accessories.

Open your image in Paint, then from the top toolbar choose Image > Stretch/Skew.
In the dialog box under "Stretch" there are two boxes, Horizontal and Vertical, both defaulting to 100%
To reduce your image dimensions, enter a smaller percentage in each box, try "50%". Be sure to put the same percentage in each box.
Do not alter the "Skew" boxes, leave at "0"
Then save as a new image in *jpg format.
Use Windows Explorer to check your image properties with a right click on the image file name, then choose the summary tag.
If the file size is below 300kb, then you can upload.
